First week back information
The first day of school is approaching, and we hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer!
On Tuesday, September 3rd, the first day of school, students will return to their classroom from the previous year. The primary objective for the morning is to take accurate attendance, so it is important for all students to attend. Students should arrive by 8:55 a.m. and will be dismissed at 10:00 a.m.
New students at Gilmore School should wait at the main entrance, where they will be greeted and escorted to the library.
First Week of School (Grades 1-7):
- Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024: 8:55 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. only
- Please join us for coffee while you wait for your child. You can find us in the gym or the covered area, depending on the weather. Take this opportunity to mix and mingle with other parents. This event is organized by the Gilmore Community PAC
- Wednesday, September 4th; Thursday, September 5th; and Friday, September 6th: Full days from 8:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
During the first week, students will return to their previous year’s classroom. They will focus on reconnecting, building new friendships, and participating in activities designed to strengthen community and relationships. We anticipate having our new school organization in place by the second week of September.
We would also like to extend a warm welcome to our new Kindergarten families. Please refer to the gradual entry schedule that was emailed to you in June.
